Plan sets need to stay organized
Construction drawings can include architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil, landscape, and revision sheets. A small mistake in page order or set count can cause problems on the jobsite.
When sending files, it helps to include a clear file name, final sheet size, total set count, and any notes about which pages need color. If only some pages changed, send the revision instructions clearly.
Common construction print jobs
- Bid sets and permit sets.
- Jobsite copies for contractors and subcontractors.
- Revised sheets and replacement pages.
- Black and white plan sets with selected color pages.
- Architectural plans, engineering drawings, and oversized sheets.
- Folded sets, rolled sets, and organized plan packets.
What affects timing
Timing depends on file readiness, sheet size, number of sheets, number of sets, color pages, folding, and whether the files are already combined in the correct order. Blueprint printing has no rush fees, and possible one-day turnaround may be available when the job qualifies.
The fastest path is to send a clean PDF with the sheet size, quantity, and deadline. Brandon can check for obvious issues before the job is printed.
What to send for a quote
Send the PDF, sheet size, number of sheets, number of sets, color or black and white instructions, folding needs, and deadline. If it is a revision set, include which sheets changed.
